Alec Baldwin and Robert De Niro returned to “Saturday Night Live” this week to parody the conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into ties between President Trump’s campaign and Russia.
The show’s cold open featured De Niro as Mueller discussing his 300-plus-page report, SNL cast member Aidy Bryant as Attorney General William Barr crafting a four-page summary of the report and Baldwin’s Trump tweeting about the results.
Echoing the findings of Mueller’s report, De Niro read from a letter that said his investigation did not lead to a “definitive conclusion” on whether the president obstructed justice.
“But I have,” Bryant as Barr said.
Baldwin’s Trump celebrated the findings of the report by blowing an air horn, declaring himself “free at last” and saying, “Russia, if you’re watching, go to bed. Daddy won.”

Not the best SNL Trump cold open IMO, but still good. Glad the show is ignoring Trump’s temper tantrums and continuing to poke fun at him. l
