The National Weather Service (NWS) on Tuesday sent out a false alarm warning some east coast residents of an incoming tsunami Tuesday morning just weeks after a similar false alarm sent by Hawaiian officials about a ballistic missile sent residents into a panic.
An alert sent just before 9:00 a.m. eastern time Tuesday morning warned cellphone users from Maine to as far south as Florida and Louisiana of an incoming tsunami, according to Twitter reports.
