The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) are probing whether a string of shootings in Harrisburg, Penn., on Friday constituted an act of terror.

ABC News reported Saturday that federal authorities are investigating after 51-year-old Ahmed Aminamin El-Mofty allegedly opened fire on police officers in three different locations in the Pennsylvania capital on Friday.

One officer was injured in the shootings, though she remains in the hospital in good condition, according to ABC News. El-Mofty was shot and killed in a confrontation with police.
