Rep. Tom Rooney, R-Fla., a member of the House Intelligence Committee, slammed the committee’s work on its investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election as a vehicle for lawmakers to leak to reporters.
Rooney said the investigation had to end due to leaks during the investigation and an overall loss of credibility.
“We’ve gone completely off the rails, and now we’re just basically a political forum for people to leak information to drive the day’s news. … We’ve lost all credibility,” he said.
