Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday said Attorney General William Barr committed a crime by lying to lawmakers during his testimony on Capitol Hill.
“What is deadly serious about it is the attorney general of the United States of America was not telling the truth to the Congress of the United States. That’s a crime,” Pelosi said during a press conference.
Her comments come a day after Barr was grilled by Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee over his handling of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian election interference.
