Trump advocated for Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner's return to New York: Report

President Trump believes first daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner, both high-profile White House advisers, should return to New York, according to a report.

“He keeps pressuring them to go,” a source close to Kushner told Vanity Fair, referring to the president, in an article published Tuesday.

Trump is reportedly advocating for the move, in part, so the couple’s brand can avoid further damage inflicted by negative press coverage from the political scene.

The suggestion comes as pressure mounts on the Trump administration from special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.

Kushner, once charged with enhancing government efficiency, improving relations with China, and solving the Middle East crisis, also now has fewer responsibilities and less autonomy in the West Wing under chief of staff John Kelly’s leadership.

“Kelly has clipped his wings,” a Republican figure in contact with the White House told Vanity Fair.

None of Trump’s kids should be involved in the presidency. Exactly what would qualify any of them to advise the president on major issues?

Trump supporters were among those who complained when Obama’s mother-in-law moved into the White House. But Trump employs his kids and his worshipers think it’s ok. I guess they don’t care that their tax dollars finance family freeloaders if it’s Trump’s family doing the freeloading.

We elect presidents, not royal families. A president’s family should have no place in the actual presidency.
