The Trump Organization has hired former White House lawyer Stefan Passantino to aid with Congress’ inquiries into President Trump’s business interests and conflicts, according to a new report.

As former White House deputy counsel, Passantino oversaw the White House ethics program and rules related to conflicts of interest. He will now handle the Trump Organization’s responses to Democratic investigations, according to a letter to the House Oversight Committee on Friday, CNN reports.

Passantino is expected to recuse himself from issues that overlap with his work in the White House and will refrain from any communications with the executive branch, according to the outlet.
