At least 15 people, including several children, were wounded and one was confirmed killed on Tuesday during a stabbing spree in the Japanese city of Kawasaki near Tokyo.
Police told Japanese broadcaster NHK that one elementary schoolgirl has been confirmed dead. News outlets reported varying numbers of injuries.
The victims were lined up at a bus stop near Noborito Park when the alleged attacker began slashing pedestrians, according to a report from the Associated Press.
