A press conference from Australia police was cut short after a senior detective left to tackle a man running away behind him.
Senior Sgt. Daren Edwards was speaking outside of the Maroochydore Police Station on the Sunshine Coast when a man came sprinting toward him, News.com.au reports.
The 39-year-old man had allegedly made inappropriate comments to a 19-year-old girl, whose father was chasing after him.
A video showed Edwards speaking at the podium before stopping to turn around and see what’s going on behind him. He then runs after the man before grabbing him around the knees, forcing him to fall to the ground.
