This definitely feeds into Cruz’s narrative that he’s the only consistent conservative in the race, but won’t move the stalwart base of rabid supporters that Trump has. However, there have to be traditional conservatives and Evangelicals who are in the Trump camp, and they might respond to this kind of persuasion.
