Brad Pitt has been nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of Anthony Fauci, one of the nation’s leading experts on infectious diseases, on “Saturday Night Live” earlier this year.
According to CNN, the actor was nominated for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series for the portrayal. Other actors nominated in the same category include Eddie Murphy, Adam Driver, Luke Kirby, Dev Patel and Fred Willard, who died in May.
The nomination comes several months after Pitt impersonated the expert in a brief skit on the show in April.
