The U.S. Senate voted to confirm South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as Donald Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations on Tuesday.
The final vote was 96-4. The expected Democrats voted against her of Chris Coons, Tom Udall — both of whom voted against her in the Foreign Relations Committee — Martin Heinrich and Independent Bernie Sanders.
Haley’s confirmation marks the fourth nominee to gain approval from the Senate since Donald Trump’s inauguration last Friday.
