Breaking: Senate Confirms Nikki Haley as U.N. Ambassador

The U.S. Senate voted to confirm South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as Donald Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations on Tuesday.

The final vote was 96-4. The expected Democrats voted against her of Chris Coons, Tom Udall — both of whom voted against her in the Foreign Relations Committee — Martin Heinrich and Independent Bernie Sanders.

Haley’s confirmation marks the fourth nominee to gain approval from the Senate since Donald Trump’s inauguration last Friday.

    I don’t know if this is good or bad, but if Ambassador Haley can truly represent this nation and its interests well at the UN and not promote terror havens as was done during the last administration, then I’m all for her.
