IRVINE, CA – With momentum surging from recent victories across four states, today the Cruz for President campaign announced the endorsement of 50 current and former California Republican state and local elected officials.
“I’m honored to receive the support of Republican leaders who are working hard to put conservative ideas into action in California,” said Cruz. “Conservatives are continuing to unite behind our campaign to win the Republican nomination and defeat Hillary Clinton in November, and the people of California will be critical to our success.”

Yes, let’s get California’s delegates. Trump has no idea how to do that. The man he hired as his “convention” man to get delegates, last worked to get delegates in the 1970s. That’s not exactly current work, is it? Party rules per state can change through the years, so he had better be current with the present delegate rules in the 50 states and possessions.
Trump is all mouth and no smarts. His yelling “not fair!”, “Cruz cheated!”, “Cruz is using gestapo tactics!”, “I will change this when I am president!”, is disgusting. He makes me sick with his whining outburst, “Lyin Cruz!” What a despicable jerk. It is a pleasure to write this on this website and not get banned.

Here is what I know from working in the Republican Party of Texas, being present with our Republican state officers who run the party and knowing the persons from Texas who were on the National Republican Committee who run the national party. Every state chairman knows the officers who run every party in the various states. That means the California Republican officers know the Colorado officers. You see, no state party operates in a vacuum, not knowing what other state officers are doing.
What the above means, is, the California officers are likely just as ticked off at Trump as the chairman/other officers in Colorado. This means California officers are likely wary of Trump doing same thing to them – yelling “unfair!, rigged!” Wouldn’t you be wary also based on his attack on Colorado officers? Plus, Trump is not just complaining about Colorado. He is saying every state’s delegate rules are “rigged”.
Now, the California officers are selected at the state convention so they have the backing of the state convention delegates who elected them.
The officers dislike of Trump complaining the delegate system in every state is “rigged” has to filter down to the delegates.Add to this, Cruz knew from the beginning that California had lots of delegates and he had to have a ground game early on, months ago, getting state public officials to endorse him. Republicans who like these public officials will be drawn to Cruz, rather than Trump. Cruz perhaps gets more votes in their primary than Trump, or close to him.
Then there is the fact that Trump is a piece of slime. :o) Cruz gets more delegates than Trump.
