Cruz flying to Dallas with Obama for memorial in show of unity

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is planning to fly to Dallas on Air Force One with President Obama on Tuesday for a memorial service for the five police officers killed in a sniper attack last week.

Cruz was spotted by reporters in the parking lot outside the air terminal at Joint Base Andrews, where guests board the presidential aircraft.

The invitation to the Texas senator — a frequent Obama critic — is a show of unity in the wake of the attack, which dredged up divisive issues such as racism and anti-police sentiment. Former President George W. Bush, who served as the governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000, is also expected to speak at the event.

    Bunch of twits. Although I wouldn’t blame Cruz if he had to air out his suit after riding with Obama.

    I suppose Cruz has a distinct purpose for wading into the viper pit for the sake of some phony Show of Unity with a devout enemy of our Constitutional Republic, we already know obama intends to unify the BLM’ers. I have to say I don’t like it one bit unless Cruz intends to expose obama’s agenda but his agenda is always evident.

    I will continue to TrusTed for the time being, I don’t see how this move passes the test of reason, logic and common sense, he better make sense of it all at some point in the near future or his leadership principles will be put to question as far as I’m concerned.

    As a constitutional conservative I believe in holding those who represent us feet to the fire continually as the straight and narrow is a hard row to hoe and cutting slack always strays from the path. I will not be like a trumpster, a Rino or democrat who indiscriminately and blindly follow the leader, Cruz I would think should already understand that… DON”T TREAD ON ME!

    I was disappointed with this. Was it by Obama’s invite? If so, then it was to purposefully destroy him with his supporters. Cruz should’ve asked to see Obama’s speech notes fist.

    Then again, one could assume that Cruz, being a Senator from TX, would be the natural invite. But, again, I believe it was to hurt him.

    Well, I see a couple of advantages. For one, by hitching a ride on Air Force One, maybe the taxpayers saved a few bucks. For another — one of the many jabs at Senator Cruz was that he couldn’t get anything done in Washington because he couldn’t get along with anyone. Well, this ride on Air Force One with a bunch of Democrats may have disproved that allegation.

    Then there’s this: The Trumpies have been saturating the Internet with their whines about how Ted Cruz won’t honor his pledge to endorse the Republican nominee (which they believe to be Trump). Well, now the Trumpsters are calling Ted Cruz a sellout for riding with Obama, et al. and it looks like they are no longer demanding an endorsement from the “traitor.” Got the Trumpsters off his back, at least for now.

    I still don’t like this, I think it is a big mistake. I know Cruz intends to show unity with law enforcement and obama will likely make some sort of gesture in that direction and it will be followed by giant BUT ultimately putting the blame on the white privilege racist law enforcement system or words to that effect… Mark my words this will happen the socialist democrat minions have already established the template directed by obama himself and so far obama enthusiastically approves, the media as always will fall in line.

    I am sure obama and the media will report this as Cruz showing unity with obama, this is why I think it a mistake, maybe someone in media will point out Cruz was there to show unity with the officers maybe!

    Now if in his speech Cruz (if he is allowed to speak) calls out the BLM’ers as domestic terrorists and puts the blame for their illegitimate ascension where it belongs directly in the lap of obama then that would show unity with the officers and the American people. If I know Cruz as I think/hope I do this is what he will/should do albeit most diplomatically and in a statesmen like manner, otherwise yeah this is a major mistake in my personal judgement.

    God Save The Republic… CRUZ 2016!
