Delta Air Lines’ CEO revealed that the airline may have lost as much as $50 million due to the widespread power outage at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Sunday.

“We have a lot of people at the start of the business week that didn’t take their trips,” Bastian told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday, referring to the impact of the power outage.

“We will certainly be seeking the opportunity to have a conversation, and then seek reimbursement,” he continued.

Delta was forced to cancel 1,400 flights when the world’s busiest airport, which is home to the airline’s headquarters, lost power for roughly 12 hours. It is in the process of reimbursing passengers for their Sunday night hotel stays.
