Donald Trump Chooses Anniversary of U.S. Army to Call U.S. Army Thieves

Are you hoping to throw the election? Because this is how you throw the election.

On the 241st anniversary of our nation’s Army, presumptive GOP nominee, Donald Trump, took the opportunity, not to praise our military, but to slam our military as crooks.

While appearing at a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, Trump veered off into whatever mental wasteland makes up his intellect. As reported by POLITICO:

“Iraq, crooked as hell. How about bringing baskets of money — millions and millions of dollars — and handing it out?,” Trump said at an evening rally. “I want to know who were the soldiers that had that job, because I think they’re living very well right now, whoever they may be.”

There have been documented cases of military personnel or contractors who have taken advantage of their positions and have skimmed government money from reconstruction projects, as well as those who have engaged in bribery or other practices to enrich themselves unjustly. At issue is not that it was done. At issue is the fact that the 115 service personnel or military officers who have been convicted of such practices since 2005 are a very small portion of those military personnel who have served honorably, overall.

Also at issue is that the gilded toad could have held off on voicing his disdain for our military – yet again – and could have honored our military on this important date, instead.

…..

Let’s recap: He’s champion of soldiers and veterans, unless they get caught in combat (because he prefers those who don’t get caught), and he thinks they’re crooks who unjustly enrich themselves.

All of this is coming from a man who received four deferments from serving in the military, due to a “sore foot,” but who played sports at his expensive military school, instead.
