Donald Trump: Making socialism great again

….

So here we are, ‘Making America Great Again’ by advocating for a six weeks of mandatory paid-by-the-taxpayers maternity leave. See that as a welfare state entitlement program. Don’t mind it, though, for many people tell me Trump has the best welfare state entitlements, I tell you. You’ve never seen welfare state entitlements like these before. We’re gonna have so many welfare state entitlements, you’ll be sick of all the welfare state entitlements.

Because he’s a New York City liberal, that’s why. And the current federal guarantee of only 12 weeks of unpaid leave is obviously tantamount to misogyny or slavery, or whatever liberal Ivanka Trump is whispering into daddy’s ear to get him to do this.

Yet no matter how progressive Trump decides to get, this is a game he can’t win. Republicans never win these “tastes great, less filling” debates on gubment freebies. In fact, hijacking the Democrats’ terms of engagement only gives those same Democrats license to commit their cultural and Constitutional larceny bigger and faster than they would otherwise.

Instead of having to wait for the right moment to pounce on the American people, the Democrats simply open the door with keys handed to them by the Republicans and proceed to rob us blind. I mean, how can we accuse the Left of playing fast and loose with our money, or for over-stepping the confines of limited government, if we are the first to establish such overreach as legit ourselves?

….

Certainly not because it leads to success. Like ever. Sacrificing fundamental principles in favor of populist posturing, which will only be played to greater effect by the opposing team who have mastered this scam, should be a fireable offense. However, this is 2016. The year of nothing. The year of nihilism. The year of adult temper tantrums. The year of one candidate whose “charitable foundation” donates almost nothing to charity, while the other person’s “charitable foundation” uses other people’s money as charity but gives himself credit for it nonetheless.

Thus, the case for Trump evolves from “he’s better than Hillary” to “he’ll do Hillary better than Hillary.” This deal just keeps getting better all the time.

….

In the meantime, we’re mad as Hell, but we’re going to keep on taking it.

We’re all socialists now.

What did everyone expect? Trump is a liberal Democrat. Has been, still is and always will be. Just can’t believe how many supposedly intelligent people have fallen for Trump’s lies
