A commercial jet went in the St. Johns River in Florida on Friday, near Naval Air Station Jacksonville.
“We have a commercial plane down on the river. I’ve been briefed by our Fire and Rescue. They are on the scene. While they work please pray,” Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry (R) tweeted.

Curry added that “all lives have been accounted for” and first responders are working to control jet fuel in the water.
Sources told News4Jax that the jet was carrying 136 passengers and seven crew members and that no deaths were reported.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shared photos showing the plane resting on the water, saying it “was not submerged.”

An NAS Jacksonville spokesperson told News4Jax that the plane appears to have skid off the runway while trying to land.
