BREAKING: Holocaust Survivor, Nobel Peace Prize Winner, and Humanitarian Elie Wiesel Has Died
Elie Wiesel is a renowned survivor of the Holocaust. He was an activist and author, and a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. His book “Night”, about his experiences in a concentration camp when he was a teenager, made the horrors of Auschwitz all too real. Today, Wiesel passed away at the age of 87, reports Haaretz.
Wiesel was not only a Nobel recipient, for his work in fighting violence, anti-Semitism and racism in general, and against oppression, but also received many other awards, including the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Grand-Croix in France’s Legion of Honor, and was knighted as Commander of the Order of the British Empire in London for raising awareness of the Holocaust in the UK.

A remarkable man. Attended a speech he gave at a symposium back in the 1970s. I was s young pup with little knowledge of the Holocaust. Mr. Wiesel opened my eyes.
May God rest his soul.
We have lost a great man. Many will be glad to be rid of his voice for the riddance of antisemitism. There are probably many who rejoice that he has gone because of the influence he had.
