Homeland Security suspends travel ban

Washington (CNN) – BREAKING NEWS: The Department of Homeland Security said Saturday it has suspended all actions to implement President Donald Trump’s immigration order.

“In accordance with the judge’s ruling, DHS has suspended any and all actions implementing the affected sections of the Executive Order entitled, ‘Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States.’ This includes actions to suspend passenger system rules that flag travelers for operational action subject to the Executive Order,” DHS acting press secretary Gillian Christensen said in a statement.

She said DHS will resume inspections of travelers as it did prior to the signing of the executive order.

    Such needless anxiety, inconvenience, and disruption caused by an ill-conceived EO from an authoritarian demagogue.

    All for absolutely nothing.

    And now, Trump is touting the support he receives from Middle Eastern despots as proof of the rightness of his EO.

    Yes we need to overhaul our immigration system. Trump’s EO was not the way to do it.

    He’s unstable and has a god complex. I don’t see this presidency as an improvement over the last one and may be much worse. This presidency will not end well. I can only hope it ends sooner than 4 years.
