The House Oversight Committee will vote on whether to authorize a subpoena for White House counselorKellyanne Conway over a government watchdog’s finding that she violated the Hatch Act.

On Wednesday, the House panel “will hold a hearing to examine the recommendation of the independent Office of Special Counsel (OSC) that President Trump remove Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway from federal service, as well as reports by OSC about Ms. Conway and other Trump Administration appointees,” the committee said in a memo.

“The Committee also will hold a business meeting to consider a subpoena in the event that Ms. Conway does not appear,” the committee memo adds.

Conway and Henry J. Kerner of the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) are both invited to testify before the committee.

The meeting will follow a letter Chairman Elijah Cummings sent Conway on June 13 asking her to address the OSC’s finding that she violated the law and confirm her attendance by 5:00 P.M. last Monday. Neither Conway nor the White House responded.
