Judiciary Committee to hold first impeachment hearing next week

The panel will invite White House lawyers to attend and participate.

The House Judiciary Committee will hold its first hearing next week on the impeachment of President Donald Trump, the next phase in the process that could result in the third-ever presidential impeachment before the end of the year.

The hearing, scheduled for next Wednesday, will focus on the definition of an impeachable offense and the formal application of the impeachment process. The panel will invite White House lawyers to attend and participate.

    Sorry, but I think this impeachment is not going to amount to anything. I think it’s a political stunt designed by the Democrats to make them look good. Oh, the house might vote to impeach Trump, but then the Republicans in the senate will get to play to their base by acquitting. Trump’s reality tv presidency has expanded to a reality tv congress.

    it’s a shame because the Trump administration needs to go. We need a real president and a real congress — one that truly represents all of us, not just a few. Instead, both parties continue to “entertain” us, while vital work on important issues goes undone. This reality tv show must be canceled so congress and a real president can get busy doing their real jobs.
