A spokesperson for Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday announced that the country will not make public the name of the vaccine that Putin will receive.

“We are deliberately not saying which shot the president will get,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Reuters.

While Peskov did not reveal the specific name of the vaccine that Putin is set to receive later in the day on Tuesday, he did note that all three of possible Russian-made vaccines are “absolutely reliable and effective,” according to the news outlet.

Putin first revealed on Monday that he would be receiving one of the three Russian-made vaccines the following day. Russia first approved the Sputnik V vaccine, which has been found to be over 90 percent effective in combatting the coronavirus, and later approved both EpiVacCorona and CoviVac vaccines.

Sputnik V received criticism from health officials for its early approval, as many noted that it had only been tested on a small sample of a few dozen people.
