Mike Pence's brother wins GOP primary in Indiana

Greg Pence has won the GOP primary in the race to fill the congressional seat once occupied by his brother, Vice President Mike Pence.

The race to fill the 6th District seat currently held by Rep. Luke Messer, R-Ind., for Pence shortly after the polls closed. Messer decided not to seek re-election, instead throwing his hat in the ring for a Senate run, which opened the doors for the 4-person Republican primary.

The campaign ended up as a pricey race between two wealthy businessmen, Pence and Jonathan Lamb. However, Lamb was unable to match the over $1 million raised by Pence through outside groups connected to his brother and other top Republicans.
