(CNN)- Angry crowds took to the streets in Milwaukee on Saturday night to protest the shooting death of an armed man by a police officer hours earlier. Protesters burned several stores and threw rocks at police in the city’s north side, leaving one officer injured. Smoke and orange flames filled the night sky.

The incident started Saturday afternoon when two officers stopped two people who were in a car in the north side, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

Shortly after, both car occupants fled on foot as officers pursued them, police said.

During the chase, an officer shot one of the two — a 23-year-old man who was armed with a handgun, according to authorities.

Milwaukee Alderman got on the news last night and said it was because Milwaukee is the absolute worst place in the country for an African American to live and it’s a warning cry.

Yep, it’s a bad place for a black felon carrying a stolen gun and running from the cops.

So glad the officer is okay but sorry for the hell he and his family are about to go through.

The cause of this wasn’t the cops shooting an armed thug. They couldn’t care less about the guy shot. It was an excuse for more thugs to burn, loot and do violence to police. Plain and simple.

The father of the guy shot came out today and blamed himself and apologized to his children for setting a bad example. He just got out of jail recently and had been in and out of jail for most of his life.

If there is any anger and rage it should be directed at themselves. There is nothing holding these people back except their own culture.
