The senior vice president of communications for NBC Universal said it’s “beneath” him to respond to President Trump’s insult directed at MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski’s appearance.
Trump tweeted Thursday morning that Brzezinski tried to join him “around New Year’s Eve” at his Mar-a-Lago resort and that she was “bleeding badly from a face-lift.”
Never imagined a day when I would think to myself, "it is beneath my dignity to respond to the President of the United States."

Mark Kornblau, the NBC spokesman, also used Twitter to reply, “Never imagined a day when I would think to myself, ‘It is beneath my dignity to respond to the President of the United States.'”
A spokesperson for MSNBC did, however, release a statement on the controversy.
“It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job,” it said.
Trump’s insult directed at Brzezinski was a response to what he described as her and “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough speaking “badly” of him on their show.
