Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Ky., was confronted Friday night by at least one angry diner, while other customers at the restaurant in Louisville called on hecklers to let the senator and his wife to eat in peace.

In a video, obtained by TMZ, a man can be seen yelling at McConnell to leave the country and hounding him on issues such as Social Security.

McConnell’s wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, argued with the man while the Senate majority leader seems unfazed as he drank his beverage.

“Why don’t you get out of here?” the man yelled at McConnell. “Why don’t you leave our entire country?”

Other diners in the restaurant seemed annoyed by the spectacle and told the protester to “leave him alone.”

“They’re going to come for Social Security,” the protester told those in the diner, before he was approached by staff.

TMZ reported that the person who recorded the incident said the man slammed his fists on the table where McConnell and Chao were eating and threw food out of the restaurant while accusing McConnell of killing people with opposing views.
