Courts in Crimea have imposed a two-month detention on 24 Ukrainian sailors captured by Russia after three Ukrainian ships crossed into Russian territory last week.

Tass, Russia’s state-owned news organization, reported Wednesday that a court in Kiev arrested nine of the sailors that were captured when Russia seized three Ukrainian ships.

On Tuesday, courts in Crimea imposed two-month detentions on the other 15 sailors who were captured.

On Tuesday, NATO released a statement urging Russia to immediately release the sailors.
