Let’s review the recent history of Sarah Palin’s endorsements. First, she got a Democrat elected in Alaska over a purely personal (and moronic) beef with the Republican nominee. Then, she helped get one of the Democrats’ biggest donors, Donald Trump, nominated as the GOP presidential nominee in the most obvious Trojan Horse operation in history. Now, she is trying to defeat the Republican Speaker of the House because he is insufficiently friendly to her Democrat buddy Donald Trump:
Washington (CNN) – Sarah Palin will work to defeat House Speaker Paul Ryan by backing his primary opponent in Wisconsin, the former Alaska governor told CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Palin said in an interview that airs Sunday on “State of the Union” that her decision was sparked by Ryan’s bombshell announcement to Tapper last week that he wasn’t yet ready to support Donald Trump, the Republican presumptive nominee. Palin endorsed Trump back in January.
“I think Paul Ryan is soon to be ‘Cantored,’ as in Eric Cantor,” Palin said, referring to the former Republican House majority leader who was ousted in a shocking upset in 2014 when challenger Dave Brat ran to his right in a Virginia primary.
I’m not a humongous Paul Ryan booster by any means, but the only thing I know about his primary opponent Paul Nehlen, is that he has happily aligned himself with the nutjob chorus of Trump, Palin, Coulter, et al. That would be enough for me to oppose him, if I lived in Paul Ryan’s district, regardless of what I thought of Ryan.
