See Something Say Nothing: FBI Failed to Follow Up on Gun Store Owner’s Warning

….

… Democrats are asserting that the gun owning community is responsible for terrorists purchasing guns. The reality is that most terrorists are not on any list and there is no way for the government to verify that any one of the ticking time bombs among the Sharia immigrants (who haven’t yet committed a crime) will strike. It is the patriotic gun dealers who can use their expertise and experience to sniff out a first time terrorist. Yet, that involves what liberals call “profiling” or what average citizens call common sense.

We don’t have the details from the FBI defending their lack of concern or follow up with Mr. Abell, but it is not hard to understand how this could have been a casualty of the CVE (countering violent extremism) agenda. The FBI and DHS are intimidated into averting their eyes from any Islamic connection involved in piecing together the puzzle of suspicious activity. They train local law enforcement in CVE as well. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that when the FBI agents heard Abell complain about a Middle Eastern looking individual acting suspiciously and making phone calls in foreign languages, they were scared of violating the CVE policy and being accused of profiling. This is exactly what transpired with the neighbors of Syed Farook in San Bernardino when they saw suspicious activity and packages around his garage.

Thus, rather than encourage people to work with the federal government to prevent terrorists from getting guns, liberal policies are deterring both law enforcement and gun dealers (and random citizens) from keeping their eyes open. They know that CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood legal organizations are prepared to file a lawsuit at the drop of the hat. In fact, Omar Mateen actually accused police of being anti-Muslim when they rejected him from entering a police academy.

What this story demonstrates, once again, is that we are languishing from security threats precisely because we have a government committed to ignoring ‘assault people’ and focusing on so-called assault weapons. Yet, Republicans just passed legislation legitimizing the CVE agenda, which will ensure that all connections between terrorism and Islam are ignored and deleted. Sadly, instead of passing legislation on Monday reforming the FBI and DHS and mandating that they repeal CVE, Republicans plan to validate the Democrat premise that this is all about guns and will conduct votes on four gun control amendments in the Senate.
