Sorry, LGBTQRPXT, You Aren’t Born That Way

Turns out you can feel free to file “born this way” under the same heading as “if you like your current healthcare plan you can keep it.”

For these are things liars say.

….

A 41-year annual survey, involving more than 33,000 people, was conducted between 1973 and 2014 by researchers from Widener, Florida Atlantic and San Diego State universities. And according to reporting done by the Philadelphia Enquirer, the verdict is that a lot more Americans are having sex with both men and women than ever before. While at the same time the number of people who identify as strictly homosexual is both static and miniscule.

So has a biological mutation occurred that has steered us into this sordid reality? Nope, it’s not the X-Men come to life. Just plain old sin wallowing, and the numbers originally laid out in the Archives of Sexual Behavior prove it.

Those who said they believed homosexual behavior was “not wrong at all” stood at 11 percent in 1973 and rose just two points to 13 percent by 1990. But fast-forward to 2014 and watch the levee break as 49 percent of respondents proudly play for the team that thinks Romans 1 is a celebration—rather than a warning.

That passage of Scripture isn’t just focused on the sad state of affairs claimed by only 1.7 percent of men and .9 percent of women who, with very little change over time, said they exclusively engaged in homosexual sex. It also, and perhaps more so, includes the sort of adults who said they had at least one homosexual partner between the early 1990s and the early 2010s. As, not coincidentally, conventional Judeo-Christian morality was increasingly cast into Moloch’s fire.

Those fools roughly doubled, from 3.6 to 8.7 percent for women, and from 4.5 to 8.2 percent for men. That’s likely how Sodom and Gomorrah transformed themselves from nice bed-and-breakfast communities into a bombing range for fire and brimstone. Not because they accepted the reality of their DNA or some drivel like that. Instead, they clearly decided to reject reality altogether.

“More and more young people today are sort of rejecting those very strict labels of gay, straight, or bisexual and saying, ‘I’m fluid or queer,’ ” said one of the study’s researchers.

But since ‘rejecting strict labels’ is in fact the very opposite of anything that can be called science, we are simply being told that people are doing whatever they want with whoever they want because, well, because.

….

Here’s why this matters when it comes to public policy, regardless of whether you take the Bible seriously or not. In our constitutional republic, rights are pre-existent in nature. Bestowed by God, not government. Anything that requires consent is not a right. And if you do anything to violate anybody else’s God-given rights, then government’s duty is to step in and right that wrong.

….

The progressives’ argument for normalizing sexual perversity, and by extension imposing on the God-given religious liberty enshrined in our Constitution, is that people behaving in such ways can’t help themselves. They are “born this way” and therefore must be spared of the ramblings of the religious. That’s precisely why we’re in this national debate over bathrooms after all. These victims simply have no choice but to act on their craven impulses, which makes the grown man changing in the women’s locker room a modern-day Rosa Parks.

Except this study from liberal academia, of all places, proves that’s a pernicious lie. Like practically everything else today’s regressive progressives preach.
