Texas Senator Ted Cruz blasted the President for granting legitimacy to the “corrupt” Castro regime and for going back on his word, visiting Cuba despite no progress to reduce human rights violations in the communist nation. Cruz has promised that as president he would not visit Cuba until the Cuban people are freed and the Castro regime has ended.

Donald Trump took issue with the President because Obama did not insist Raul Castro meet him on the tarmac. Mr. Trump, praised Castro for “making a great deal” by snubbing the president as he landed in Cuba. Mr. Trump promised that as President he would not visit Cuba unless the brutal communist dictator met him personally on the tarmac.
