New Jersey’s attorney general subpoenaed financial records from President Trump’s inaugural committee, the Associated Press reported Friday.
The inauguration committee told the AP it was communicating with the attorney general’s office over the subpoena, which reportedly seeks information on whether Trump donors got special benefits.
This is the second such request the committee has received following increasing questions about how it spent the $107 million it raised on inaugural events.
The state of New York is also interested in whether people from other countries gave money for the inauguration.
