President Trump hosted a meeting at the White House with Matt Drudge during his first 100 days, according to a new report.
An article published Thursday morning by Politico said that since being sworn into office, Trump at some point met with the reclusive but influential editor and founder of the Drudge Report.
The nature of the meeting, according to the report, was “to talk about [Trump’s] administration and the site.”
Drudge is also “frequently” in communication with top White House adviser and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
The Washington Examiner has requested comment from a White House spokesperson.
Throughout the 2016 campaign and into the first months of the new administration, Drudge has given almost exclusively positive coverage to Trump and was an early backer of his candidacy. Trump regularly praised Drudge during the campaign.
