Donald Trump has taken his “New York Values” on the road. After stunning victories in the Bible Belt at the beginning of the campaign season, Trump has pivoted away from eschewing social conservatism. When asked at an NBC News town hall about his views on so-called “bathroom bills” Trump came out in support of letting men use the girls room.
Trump further went on to say that he thinks gender neutral bathrooms are discriminatory.
Would Trump have espoused these views during primaries in strongly socially conservative states? Two weeks ago he dodged the same question before the Wisconsin primary.
