Wilbur Ross: Syria attack was 'after-dinner entertainment' at Mar-a-Lago

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross on Monday called the Trump administration’s missile strike against Syria “after-dinner entertainment.”

“It was in lieu of after-dinner entertainment,” said Ross, who was with President Trump during the summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mar-a-Lago, Fla., according to Variety. “Just as dessert was being served, the president explained to Mr. Xi he had something he wanted to tell him, which was the launching of 59 missiles into Syria,” Ross said at the Milken Institute Global Conference in California.

“The thing was, it didn’t cost the president anything to have that entertainment,” Ross said at the event.
