A Houston woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for threatening a Florida judge overseeing the criminal case against former President Trump for his handling of classified documents.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that Tiffani Gish, 50, was sentenced Friday for “using interstate communications” to threaten U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon.

Gish pleaded guilty in November, The Associated Press reported.

The Texas woman left three threatening voicemails on the chamber’s telephone for Cannon. The DOJ said she claimed to be a member of military combat units, trained and “familiar with weapons of war.”

Gish said the judge would “get a bullet in the head.” In two other voicemails, she “reiterated the same threat” and “used expletives” to add that she ordered snipers and a bomb threat to Cannon’s house, the DOJ said in a release.

U.S. District Judge David Hittner sentenced Gish to serve 37 months in federal prison, with three years of supervised release. She will remain in custody before she is transferred to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility, the DOJ said.

“Holding Tiffani Gish accountable for her threats to assassinate a federal judge sends a strong message that we have no tolerance for those — who often hide behind a far-off keyboard or phone line — seeking to undermine our democratic institutions by threatening the safety of the people who help those same institutions thrive,” U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani said in a statement.
