What makes it even funnier is that Spicer stood in front of members of the press at the University of Chicago two weeks ago and said “I will never lie to you.”
What pissed me off was Trump standing in front of 117 stars representing dead CIA agents talking about crowd size, saying he was on the cover of TIME more than any other president (not true, Nixon beat him 55 to 10), and saying that the media created a false narrative that Trump had trashed the CIA (he did, in fact, compare our intelligence agencies to Nazi Germany last week).
This is surreal. Trump is trying to create a narrative that the public should never believe the media.
Why?
Because when the media uncovers the inevitable conflicts of interest with his business dealings and his campaign’s contacts with Russia, he wants to be able to discredit them.
It’s 1984 folks. The only check on Trump is the Congress. Will any of those sycophants have the guts to challenge him?
Trump plagiarized a cake? LOL!

@stevenjayTeam Trump ordered an inaugural cake exactly like Obama’s – except a fake Styrofoam version that no one could eat.
Congratulations to Mike Lee for introducing this bill. It would require Trump to get Congressional approval before imposing crippling tariffs (read: tax increases) on businesses.
Democrats would support this too so it’s likely they could override a Trump veto.
in reply to: Mike Lee: Make Trade Policy Accountable AgainDonald Trump does NOT want to reduce the power of Washington. If anything, with his tariffs, threats to any media that publishes criticism of him, and his strange rants against crime, he wants to increase and centralize more power in Washington.
Erickson is usually spot on but he is completely misreading Trump if he thinks he’s a federalist.

No. Opinion. But right on, AFAIC.
in reply to: Trump's America is a Rotten PlaceNot going to debate it with you. But not a single one of Trump’s appointees have disagreed in their confirmation hearings that climate change is real.
This is standard practice. The Obama White House deleted content from the Bush website.
Not a single one of Trump’s cabinet nominees has denied the truth of climate change.
Really?
If the individual mandate is gone, every insurance company in every exchange will pull out and Obamacare will collapse completely.
If you don’t have to buy insurance, but insurance companies have to cover you, why would anybody buy insurance until they get sick?

A most Dreadful Inaugural Address
Hoft has that lounge lizard look down pat.
BMW and Mercedes have plants in the US. Plus, Mercedes owns Chrysler.
Congress is not going to go along with this bluster.
in reply to: Trump threatens German car companies with tariffsMeanwhile, Trump’s campaign is under FBI investigation for its contacts with Russian operatives. And, the fact that they’re talking to specific people means they got FISA court clearance months ago.
The American public is tired of animals being forced to perform for humans and then being kept in cages.
Won’t happen. Senate has the filibuster.
in reply to: Trump team prepares dramatic cutsThe biggest fear we should all have is the colossal ignorance of a septuagenarian who doesn’t even know how a bill becomes law.
It is the will of 47% of Americans that Trump is president. We have no idea what God thinks.
He’s likely laughing at how stupid we are.
in reply to: Erick Erickson: Remember, It is God’s WillWhy? The best I can say is I hope Trump is much better than I think he actually is.
We’re not hiring a preacher for the presidency.
in reply to: Cruz Easily Won the New Hampshire GOP DebateIf Cruz won, he did it by keeping his head down. He didn’t have one significant moment in the entire debate, unless it was his continued apology to Carson.
This was easily Cruz’s worst night, lost only because Rubio had an even worse night.
