The latest Emerson poll has Cruz pulling ahead of Trump 36%-35% in WI. Early voting has started I believe so Walker needs to hop on board the Cruz train pronto if he really wants to stop Trump.

Walter Hudson has an article on True North asking what a post apocaylptic conservative movement should look like:

I’ll throw the question out there: If Trump gets the nomination then gets destroyed in the general (taking many Senate and Congressional seats with him) – what is the proper way forward for the Republican party? I’m sure the Establishment will try to say “I told you so” and try to retain power, but with Trump/Cruz being #1/#2 I think the writing is on the wall for them.

A lot of Trump’s message resonates for me (my problem is that I don’t trust Trump from a values or competence side). I lean more towards free trade personally but the message of strong border controls and citizen based government resonates.

Polls show that conservative libertarian-ism is the way the country is trending, and I think that is the way forward for the Republican party. Shrink that federal government down and fight ideological battles at the state level.

The crazies over at Trump Republic are now saying vile things about Mormons and Utah. They are so delusional they think Trump can take New York from Hillary.

Yep that pretty much fits the bill. Now you know why some of these “other” sites became so toxic and threatening. The stick I’m using to push away Trump just keeps getting longer and longer.

Judging by what Kasich is doing, I’m convinced the establishment has no interest in getting behind Cruz to save the party and would rather commit suicide and have 30 years of dark ages for the party.

Who knows though, with Rubio on board, it may be enough to get Cruz ahead of Trump in the delegate count. I don’t think the RNC would pull convention shenanigans if Cruz is in the lead.

Trump even trolled Rubio about getting out on twitter. Classless

    kleindropper #2678

Also, losing Ohio goes a long way for denying Trump the 1237. So the RNCs choice is to get behind Cruz or destroy the party for 30 years.

Do not despair about tonight. Cruz will pick delegates in NC IL and MO.

And the huge news of the night is Rubio is already moving to support Cruz.

Now if we could only get that dang Kasich on board, it would be a unified front against Trump

I think we can read a few things into the exit polls coming in so far. 37% of Republicans said they would consider 3rd party if its Trump/Clinton in the general.

State by state may give us an indication that Cruz may have a good night in Missouri and Illinois. Here’s hoping.

Rubio will get trounced in Fla and may even come in third. Too bad that one is winner-take-all because I think it’s a lost cause (but you never know, that Sanders win in Michigan showed nothing can be taken for granted. Not this year.) Rubio dropping out will be a huge help to Cruz and should have been done a lot earlier. The best outcome will be for Cruz to come in a close 2nd to keep the overall popular vote close.

Kasich will likely take Ohio. If he does it will depend on if he is going for a brokered convention or if he is trying to stop Trump. To stop Trump Kasich must also drop out fast to consolidate people behind Cruz.

Once Cruz gets 1v1 with Trump he will crush him; then its a matter of delegate counts to the end.

This is sad considering the plethora of good candidates we had at the start of the process. I’m still not sure how we ended up with a goof like Trump as the front runner and FR taken over by bad-mouthed, threatening troglodytes.

I guess it comes down to Obama’s ongoing destruction of the nation and the establishment refusing to try and stop him. The pendulum is swinging back hard but is going the wrong way.

Cruz is working the “other” big states pretty hard which is smart. It also looks like he’s perking up in IL, MO, and NC. I think the best scenario is for Kasich to take OH and Cruz to sweep these 3 states. Florida is a lost cause; too many New Yorkers down there; Trump’s base seems to be the New York mob.

So sad. Andrew really had his hand on the pulse of the nation’s trend towards more of a libertarian, fun conservatism and embodied it in every way. His empire and legacy have been terribly mishandled. I don’t know why people are driving themselves right down the drain for a guy like Trump; he clearly isn’t worth it.

Things will never be the same for people like Drudge, Palin, JimR, or the people at Trumpbart.

BTW there is an Trumpbart.com website up now and it is hilarious.

Also, my replacement for Drudge/Breitbart has been therightscoop.com so check it out.

It’s kind of funny that whenever real conservatives come together to vote, Cruz wins. When Dems are allowed to cross over, Trump wins.

I posted this news on FR this morning and got perma-banned for it, which is why I am now here.
