The ranking for the most popular restaurant of 2016 just came in and the Christian fast food chain Chick-fil-A brought home the top spot.
The results are based on the number of Foursquare app check-ins. McDonald’s was also in the running for the No. 1 slot, but fell short. Chick-fil-A dominated in 24 states predominantly in the south and southeast, Business Insider reported.

The belief system is also reflected in company’s Corporate Purpose Statement:
To glorify God by being a faithful steward to all that is entrusted to us.
To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays so employees can spend time with their family and praise God. Additional closure days include the family focused holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
