Widespread power outages have been reported in Manhattan on Saturday.
According to CBS New York, the affected areas included Midtown, Hell’s Kitchen and Upper Manhattan. The outlet reported that all restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen went dark and that street lights in the affected areas also did not work.
The city’s subway tweeted to say that it was also receiving reports of outages in Manhattan stations.

Energy company Con Edison’s website showed nearly 39,000 customers out of service and and 536 outages as of 7:55 p.m.
