Ted Cruz Goes Full Churchill; Brings Down the House at AIPAC 2016 [FULL SPEECH]

Ted Cruz brought down the house at the annual AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee on Monday, interrupted by several standing ovations in what has to be considered one of his most powerful and important speeches of the campaign season.

In a Churchillian tone, Cruz pulled no punches, coming out of the gate with some history education for current GOP frontrunner, bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor Donald Trump.

“I’m thrilled to be here with you today. And let me say at the outset — perhaps to the surprise of the previous speaker — Palestine has not existed since 1948,” Cruz said with his opening line to uproarious applause.

Cruz was sharp, focused, and masterful in grasping and communicating Jewish history and the nation of Israel, as well as the challenges and risks imposed by radical Islamic terrorism in general and the rogue terrorist country of Iran, specifically.

…..

Ted Cruz issued a strong message to Iran, saying that as president, “Either you will shut down your nuclear program, or we will shut it down for you.”

“Weakness is provocative,” Cruz said, a message completely to the opposite of the Obama regime. “Appeasement increases the chance of military conflict.”

Cruz noted that unlike Donald Trump, he will not remain neutral, but will unapologetically support America’s greatest ally in the Middle East, and made comparisons between the two countries.

….

“The nation of Israel, like America, is a beacon of light unto the world,” he proclaimed. “And I am convinced after this election, the American people will stand and say together, ‘Never again means never again,’” he predicted.
