Jimmy Carter celebrating 96th birthday at home in Georgia

Thursday is former President Carter’s 96th birthday, marking another year for the longest living former president.

Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, plan to celebrate at home in Plains, Ga., a spokeswoman for the Carter Center told The Associated Press.

As of last year, the Carters are also the longest-married presidential couple in history. They’ve been married 74 years.

    Always thought Carter was a terrible president, but at least he didn’t spread conspiracy theories, lie and spread disinformation to the public during a pandemic, support white supremacy groups or go around bashing everyone he perceived as an enemy.

    So Happy Birthday, President Carter. And may you and your wife have many more years together.
