57 House Republicans voted against a nearly $40 billion bill to aid Ukraine in its war against Russia.
The overall Ukraine aid bill passed by a 368-57 vote.
What happened: About five dozen House Republicans voted down a nearly $40 billion aid package to help Ukraine in a late-night Monday vote. They cited a mix of process problems and a desire for the U.S. to remain focused on domestic issues.

Keep in mind: This all went down after the removal of $10 billion in Covid health funding from the package, which Republicans demanded. Regardless, the measure is highly likely to become law and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has promised to move “swiftly” on it in his chamber.
