Republican Sen. Marco Rubio defended Trump going back on campaign promises on foreign policy, like declining to label China a currency manipulator and praising NATO.
“I think he is dealing with the reality of being president of the United States,” the Florida senator and former Trump campaign rival said Sunday on “Meet the Press.”
Rubio said that during a campaign a candidate may take a position but that could change when they become president and have good people giving them the facts.

Rubio also said “this whole flip-flop thing is a political thing. In every other aspect of our life, people change their minds or make different decisions when presented with a set of facts different from what they thought. Why should that not be the case especially with something as important as the presidency?”

So in other words he is saying that we shouldn’t take any politician literally when they are running for office? Is that the new reality?
