Second House panel approves Obamacare replacement

A second House committee has approved an Obamacare replacement bill, putting the controversial measure over a first major hurdle as Republican leaders seek to get it passed by Congress.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved the measure 31-23 down partisan lines Thursday afternoon, ending a 27-hour hearing in which Democrats unsuccessfully pushed for more than a dozen amendments and slammed the bill for pulling back on major parts of the Affordable Care Act.
