Whistleblower raised alarm over White House handling of Ukraine call records

The whistleblower complaint over President Trump’s call with Ukraine raises concerns over how the White House handled records of the call with the foreign leader, The New York Times reported Wednesday citing two people briefed on the complaint. 

The whistleblower identified multiple White House officials as witnesses to Trump’s alleged misconduct who could corroborate the complaint, according to people who spoke to the Times.

The confidential complaint, which spurred a House impeachment inquiry, was delivered to Congress Wednesday and many lawmakers have called for it to be made public. 

A source confirmed the complaint was over Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. 

The White House memo released Wednesday morning shows Trump asked Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, a 2020 frontrunner, after asking for a “favor.”
