Former President George W. Bush said Monday that the American people deserve answers on the alleged connection between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia.
“I think we all need answers,” Bush said in an interview on NBC. “I’m not sure the right avenue to take. I am sure, though, that that question needs to be answered.”
On Friday, Republican Rep. Darrell Issa called for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to hire an independent prosecutor to investigate the connection between the Trump campaign and Russia. Issa joins a number of Democrats in calling for an independent prosecutor.
Bush said he would leave the decision on whether a special prosecutor is needed up to Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), chairman of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
There are multiple bipartisan investigations ongoing in the Senate and the FBI is also investigating.

All of a sudden now that Obama is out of office Bush finds his voice.
Well, it seems everyone was afraid to criticize Obama for fear of being labeled a racist. Now that Obama is gone, a number of people are opening their mouths without fear. Of course, now if you criticize King Donnie, you are labeled a traitor or unpatriotic, or some such.
On this issue, there does need to be an investigation. Of course, the Democrats will turn this into a witch hunt. My guess is that Trump will come out of it unscathed, but some poor underling will take the fall.
