Outage leaves Atlanta’s international airport without power One of the busiest airports in the world was left without power on Sunday as holiday travel in the U.S. kicks into high gear.
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta confirmed on Twitter that power had been lost in the travel hub, leaving travelers stranded on planes and terminals.
The Federal Aviation Administration grounded flights headed to the airport, while various incoming flights to the airport were diverted, according to a statement from the airport.
