CNN – The shooter is believed to have known at least one of the victims, two law enforcement officials told CNN.

At least three people were wounded and the suspected shooter, a woman, was found dead on the campus of the YouTube headquarters, San Bruno, California, Police Chief Ed Barberini told reporters Tuesday.

The chief said the dead woman had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. A spokesman for Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, a level 1 trauma center, said the facility received three patients. One 36-year-old man was in critical condition, one 32-year-old woman was in serious condition and one 27-year-old woman was in fair condition.

The woman accused of shooting three people at YouTube’s California headquarters on Tuesday before taking her own life “hated” the company, according to family members, and had a longstanding grudge against the platform’s content policies.

The Associated Press reports that Nasim Aghdam did not specifically target the three YouTube staffers whom she injured with a handgun in the building’s courtyard Tuesday afternoon, contradicting earlier media reports.

Instead, a personal website registered under Aghdam’s name revealed furious messages in response to Aghdam’s videos apparently being removed or demonetized from the website. YouTube’s content policy only allows for certain types of videos to be eligible for ad revenue, an issue that has caused friction with some content creators in the past.
